For her birthday weekend, BeeBee took in her first airshow. It looked like this:
And she looked like this:
Back at Nan’s, she managed to open some lightly wrapped presents pretty much on her own:
And she politely handed over the wrapping paper, fighting her instinct to immediately stuff it into her craw:
There was a cake, at first greatly anticipated:
But ultimately, just not what she expected (this one is my fault as I insisted on a hippie cake, aka not a sugar bomb, though I like to lie to myself and say she would’ve rejected a sugar bomb as well). Even though we didn’t get adorable smash-cake photos, this one is probably better in the long-run:

A) U. of Florida dress? Really?
B) What makes it a hippie cake? I see the blueberries on the top and a preponderance of natural color. What recipe did you use?
She sure is a cutie. Happy birthday, BeeBee!!

Yup, she’s a gatorbaby. My folks met and married there so I have a soft spot for U of F. The cake was basically a banana bread type thing made with applesauce. She liked it when I fed her bits of just cake…but I think it was the whipped cream “frosting” that turned her off. Too greasy maybe?

oh but the fact that you are actually a good parent and didn’t let her consume a nasty sheetcake from the grocery store….more than makes up for this orange and blue. I value that way more than sports! Did you see what Gisselle Bunchen said about breast feeding??!! I want to spread the qoute around and be as confrontational as possible!! I’m in a weird mood today….,
